Called to share a powerful redemption story

Welcome to my blog friends! Here I’ll be documenting the various stages and processes of my exciting (and slightly daunting) new project. I’m writing a book (woo!) which I’m trusting will be of great encouragement and inspiration to all who read it. That might sound like a bold statement, but I’m trusting in God’s providence as this is His project, for His glory! God’s Kingdom is growing around the world in spectacular ways through spectacular (although everyday) people who are humbly and obediently listening to His voice. Their stories should be shared and celebrated.

Now how did this come about?

Our family is beyond blessed to have Nyoman and Eka in our lives. We met this wonderful couple in Bali through mutual friends, and boy do they have an amazing redemption story! Each time we catch up, I marvel at new stories casually being shared, revealing with even greater clarity God’s hand directing every stage of their life.

I told Nyoman I thought he should write a book… he agreed, it was a nice thought. About a year later God nudged me to get the ball rolling, and boy is it rolling!

I have recently had a coaching session with a wonderful author Amanda Viviers (you may know the name from Kin Women and Sonshine FM) to help give me some direction and tools to get started, and Nyoman and I have already had 2 zoom meetings online so I’ve got some great content to get started.

Comments are appreciated – kind and encouraging ones particularly! I am very new to this book writing thing, and geez, even this blogging thing!! I won’t tell you how many hours it took me to get this thing semi-presentable haha!

God is so full of grace and mercy and I am incredibly thankful for this opportunity. Please pray with me for:

    • good health and adequate capacity to put the time in to the project
    • clear communication and sharing of ideas between Nyoman, the other Balinese sources and myself considering the language barrier
    • wisdom and discernment as to how to remain culturally sensitive and respectful when developing and writing emotionally charged scenes
